Terms of service

The service

We install, host, update and back up Open Journal Systems (OJS) for the journals on your plan, on the domain you choose. The features of each plan are listed on our pricing page.

Payment and renewal

Plans are billed annually in advance and renew automatically at the end of each period. Payments are processed by Polar Software, Inc. as merchant of record, under Polar's buyer terms.

Upgrading changes your plan immediately; the difference for the rest of the period is charged at the time of the change.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from the Billing page of your dashboard. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period and does not renew. You can undo a cancellation until then.

Refunds

Migration is included in every plan. If we cannot migrate your existing journal, we refund the full amount you paid.

Otherwise you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your purchase by writing to us. Refunds are issued by Polar, our merchant of record, to the payment method you used.

Your content

Everything you and your authors publish remains yours. We only use it to provide the service. If your subscription ends, your journals are suspended, not deleted, so you can reactivate or ask us for an export.

Acceptable use

You are responsible for what is published on your journal and must not use the service for unlawful content, spam or attacks on other systems. We may suspend a journal that does so, after notifying you where possible.

Changes and contact

Ripondone Journal is operated by İdris Demir, İzmir, Türkiye. We will tell you by email before material changes to these terms take effect. OJS is a trademark of the Public Knowledge Project; we are an independent provider and not affiliated with PKP.
