Privacy notice

What we collect

Account data: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture as provided by Google.

Details you choose to give us: institution, phone number, preferred language, and the journal information you enter (name, domain, contact email, ISSN, migration details).

Billing records: your plan, its status and renewal date, and the amount and date of each payment. We never receive or store card numbers.

Why we use it

To create and secure your account, install and operate your journal, contact you about your service, and keep accurate billing records as required by law.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Who processes it for us

Payments are handled by Polar Software, Inc., which acts as our merchant of record and processes card data on its own systems.

Sign-in and our database run on Google Firebase.

Both act only on our instructions or, for Polar, under its own buyer terms for the payment itself.

Cookies and local storage

We set a session cookie to keep you signed in and a short-lived cookie that links a purchase to your account right after checkout. Your colour theme is kept in your browser's local storage. When you ask for a sign-in code, we keep only a one-way hash of it for 15 minutes.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Account and journal data are kept while your account is active. Billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires. A cancelled subscription suspends your journals rather than deleting them; ask us if you want them removed.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and Turkey's KVKK you may ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, or to restrict or object to its use. Write to the address below and we will answer within 30 days.
